Ingredients
3 cups MN pie cherries, pitted and cooked
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 stick butter (1/2 cup), cut up
3 t. vanilla
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa
dash salt
Preparation
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Put cherries in an even layer of 8" baking dish. Put 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips in low microwave to melt with butter. In medium bowl, mix sugar, eggs, vanilla, and then stir in melted chocolate, flour, salt, cocoa, and remaining chocolate chips. Pour batter evenly over cherries. Bake about 45 min, or until toothpick comes out clean. Best refrigerated and served with ice cream.
